Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Patient Services account
- by phoning us on 0161 871 2450 between 10am and 3pm and we will tell you what the results are
- as a text message, if you have consented and it is applicable
It is important for you to ring for your results as some tests may need to be repeated, a prescription may be required or the doctor may need to see you.
The reception staff are not qualified to discuss test results, they can only read the doctor’s comments.
There is an option on the automated telephone service for you to be connected to the test results line. Results can only be given to the patient concerned.
